The Personal Site of Dan Masters

Most Popular Posts Plug-in

I have added a new plug-in that calculates the most popular post on your blog calculated by visits to the post and comments.

The plug-in is called Popularity Contest by Alex King.

You can now see the popularity of each post under the title and next to the time stamp.

There is also a “Top 5” most popular posts in the sidebar.

As of right now WordPress Desktop Client Search is still the reigning champion.

    Hi

thanks for a great plugin. Is there anyway to show some of the date that is available in the dashboard on a page within my blog?

I guess it would really depend on if you know PHP or not.

If you do know PHP I am sure that you could open the plug-in file and see how they are making the calls to get the data.

If you do not know PHP I do not see an easy way to do this.

I had to grab some PHP code to add the top 5 most popular posts in my sidebar.

The link to Alex Kings site no longer works. Do you know where I might be able to download his plugin?
